ABOUT CARMEN MARTINEZ JOVER
Infertility Support Expert
more than 19 years
by your side
Carmen Martinez Jover was born in England and from the age of 10 moved to Mexico City. Started as a bilingual secretary and then went on to being a primary teacher. Her creativity took her to study fashion design and published together with her sister Rosemary, a children’s magazine called “Orny”.
Carmen’s painting started as a mean to express the emotions she was going through while wanting to have a baby. She expressed them through chairs, why chairs?… all she wanted was a family and another chair at her table. Realizing that her paintings helped others couple with their infertility emotions she wrote her biography “I want to have a child, whatever it takes”.
Carmen strongly believes that every child has the right to understand how they were conceived so with her sister, Rosemary, they have written stories for children to explain all these new forms of conception that exist nowadays, such as egg donation, sperm donation, embryo donation, surrogacy, adoption, single Mum's by choice and two Dads.
Through her unique style of painting chairs, Carmen has managed to portray the lives of many individuals and families. It is as if each painting has its own life and can be found in homes and clinics around the world.
As Director of the Mexican Infertility Association (AMI), an NGO that gives infertility support to couples having problems in conceiving. Together with Sandra de la Garza, President of (AMI). has given support to couples throughout Mexico and Latin America. In 2012 they were involved in the creation of a Latin American Support Group called Red TRAscender. Carmen has given lectures in India, Turkey, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, USA & Mexico. In 2015, she represented Red TRAscender during the infertility guidlines held at WHO in Geneva.
Carmen has always had deeply innate passion for helping others and led her to study Reiki and Theta healing. She then studied hypnosis in the UK and later graduated as a Regression and Life Between Lives Therapist holding private one to one sessions in Mexico and Costa Rica.
As an infertility support expert, Carmen has combined hypnosis with infertitily issues and created an APP to support infertility couples who want to have a baby. She also gives lectures and organises infertility workshops.
